Burleigh Hill Farm is located on the outskirts of St.Ives, just 2 miles from the centre. There is many great things to do if you are staying with us and venturing out, whether its to St.Ives itself, the surrounding villages or to Cambridge or Huntingdon. ST.IVES

The market town of St Ives is a hidden gem set in the beautiful north Cambridgeshire countryside.
There are many appealing reasons to visit such as the tranquil riverside, the traditional weekly markets and tea and cake in the tea rooms. The famous Oliver Cromwell statue stands in the heart of the town surrounded by unique shops.
You can also now travel straight to Cambridge from St Ives via the guided busway.

SURROUNDING VILLAGES

Holywell cum Needingworth, Houghton, The Hemingfords, Somersham & Bluntisham are all directly linked to St.Ives. Whether its visiting Houghton Mill, Holywell Nature Reserve or Lake Ashmore in Hemingford Grey all these beautiful small villages have scenic walks and renowned gastro pubs.

CAMBRIDGE

Cambridge is a city on the River Cam in eastern England, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, dating to 1209. University colleges include King’s, famed for its choir and towering Gothic chapel, as well as Trinity, founded by Henry VIII, and St John’s, with its 16th-century Great Gate. University museums have exhibits on archaeology and anthropology, polar exploration, the history of science and zoology. Also home to ADC Theatre, the oldest university playhouse in England. Evenings are perfect for taking in the mix of traditional pubs and contemporary restaurants. Climb the tower of the University's Great St Mary's Church for sweeping views of the city.
